Stabilisieren bedeutet, einen niederviskosen (hochflüssigen) Füllstoff mit Hilfe von Vakuum und Druck tief bis in die Zellen des Holzes einzubringen und anschließend auszuhärten.
Das stabilisierte Holz, oder besser der neu entstandene Hybridwerkstoff, hat im besten Fall die Optik von Holz und Materialeigenschaften beider Materialien.
What is STABILIZED WOOD?
Stabilisation in this context means a deep saturation of the wood by inserting a low-viscosity (highly liquid) resin (PMMA) and subsequent curing of the material. The stabilized wood or rather the newly generated hybrid material looks still like the initial wood but convinces through the material properties of plexiglas.

We stabilize your wood with different techniques as vaccuum- and high-pressure stabilization. The resin we use is PMMA (Polymethyl methacrylate), which is non-toxic and also used in many medical treatments or as implants. Due to our experience we are able to guarantee an almost perfect saturation of your material with the resin. Exotic or rotten woods that usually cannot be used due to a low density or bad condition (re)gain much better material properties. Stabilized woods can be used for many different applications as for example knife making or manufacturing of musical instruments.
